950 (.950, or 95% pure Platinum)
Sterling Silver
Castle Wedding Bands in Sterling Silver are solid. They are made in fineness of
925 (.925, or 92.5% pure Silver)
Tungsten
Tungsten carbide is the most scratch resistant metal known to man. Tungsten carbide jewelry is affordable and has a weight that has a similarity to gold and platinum. Tungsten rings are quick and easy to remove from your finger in case of medical emergency, easier than gold. Tungsten does not bend out of shape due to its hardness, so in an accident the ring will not become deformed where it would injure your finger even more. Tungsten is hypoallergenic. People with allergies to gold jewelry can wear tungsten jewelry. Tungsten wedding bands come in a natural gun metal grey color and can be highly polished, be plated black, white, or even gold colors. Tungsten comes from a Swedish term meaning "heavy stone" and has the highest melting point of all metals at an astounding 6,191.6 degrees Fahrenheit.
Titanium
Titanium, first discovered in 1791, is strong as steel and lightweight as a feather. Titanium is hypoallergenic. Named after the Titans, Greek gods of myth, Titanium is the 22nd element on the Periodic Table. Titanium is extremely durable but not as scratch resistance as Tungsten or Serinium.
Serinium
One of the newest metal alloys on the wedding band scene Serinium® is ultra-hard and will last a lifetime. Its brilliant white color will never tarnish, oxidize, or yellow. Serinium® wedding bands are Comfort Fit bands for ultimate wearability, whether your activity is trail running, fishing, water sports, hunting, hiking, or winter outdoor activities. Serinium® is the next generation jewelry metal that moves beyond gold and platinum to new heights of beauty, durability, and sustainability. Serinium® is hypoallergenic.
Ceramic
This is not the same material as your "grandma’s" ceramic. This truly space-age high-tech ceramic is an inorganic, non-metallic solid that is available in black, white and pink as well as other colors. Ceramic jewelry is valued for its scratch resistance, heat resistance, hypo-allergenic and fade resistant properties. Ceramic jewelry has the same basic hardness and durability as Tungsten and has a greater hardness than Titanium.
Black Zirconium
Zirconium has a high resistance to corrosion and has been used in aeronautics, submarines, and even nuclear reactors. Black zirconium gets its black coloring through extreme heating which causes a chemical reaction on the surface creating an extremely durable and beautiful black layer. This black layer on black zirconium is permanent. It will not fade over time, or tarnish, or change colors. Black Zirconium is not ideal for wear in rough conditions or activities.
Damascus Steel
Damascus Steel comes from forging two different kinds of stainless steel together and then folding and twisting the metals to make a unique Zebra stripe like or wood grain pattern. Combining the two metals creates one-of-a-kind patterns so no two are exactly alike. Damascus Steel rings are unique, durable, but can be affected by salt water and harsh chemicals.
Stainless Steel
Stainless Steel is a steel alloy that contains chromium and carbon. There are various grades of Stainless Steel in the marketplace. 316L Stainless Steel is the material used in Castle Wedding Bands jewelry. 316L is used to avoid corrosion problems caused by welding and does not develop surface rust.
Diamonds
Diamonds used in Castle Wedding Bands are conflict free, genuine natural mined, unless specifically noted in the listing.
